You might think that trusting yourself would be an instinctual decision, but I have found that is is anything but automatic. Trust is a delicate gift which makes it hard to give away - even to ourselves. Trusting your spirit implies that you have a working relationship with your inner being, which in this hectic and stressful age can be a real challenge. But don't give up!

When we don't trust ourselves or listen to our spirit it leads to second guessing our decisions, actions and choices. It seems like we would automatically trust ourselves, but after years of bad relationships, disappointments and false starts - it's hard to know which "voice" is right. The reasonable voice sounds so competent and "right", while the spirit voice might urge you to do something wild and crazy like paint, dance, sing, play or nap.

Trust in any relationship comes over time. You have had your entire lifetime with yourself, but many of us have not spent that lifetime connecting and trusting our spirit. I invite you to return to child like innocence and trust the sound of your heart. Play more, laugh louder, embrace the silence and trust yourself and your own unique path.

You are your own best expert, and the power is right there within. Dig deep and relax - you are in good hands.
