Bad days deserve an anti motivational poster too. -I know that you have seen demotivational posters before-. Having a bad hair day? Are the kids acting up? Is your boss under appreciating you? Did your spouse forget your anniversary - again? Let's face it - some days are better than others. I get it. Sometimes a cheery, pull yourself up by the bootstraps, visualize your happiness, locker room talk - just won't cut it.

Oooppss The real me is showing

I must admit that those who know me were quite shocked when I started showing them the motivational, inspirational, affirmations and love designs. Honestly, flabbergasted is more like it - you see I am much more of a crotchety, sarcastic, complaining grump than a sunshine and rainbows girl. These anti motivational sayings came easy. I have been using them against myself for years.

I also enlisted a few particularly gnarly friends to help me brainstorm on their favorite mental slurs. We all got a good laugh and it helped to get them out in the open. I find these Anti Motivational Quotes release alot of tension and allow me to let go of the impossible perfection I sometimes have for myself (and others).

I did notice one very peculiar thing: after we read the motivational sayings, it was much harder to remember the anti motivational sayings. Coincidence? I think not.
